HR Shared Services Supervisor

About this role:

This is an exciting opportunity to lead a team of HR Coordinators within a Shared Services team to deliver first class HR support to our North American businesses, providing first line HR administration, guidance, and support to a fast-growing and transformational business on all operational elements across the employee lifecycle.

This role will ensure the delivery of an exceptional people experience that attracts, grows, engages, and retains the very best people, creating an environment which enables our people to thrive and do their best work, understand client needs, build confidence to deliver operational excellence.

Type of Role: Full time, exempt

Location: Hybrid or Remote, United States

Salary Range: $80,000.00- $100,000.00

Role Responsibilities

  • Put clients at the heart of our approach, ensuring they receive a consistent and professional experience every time.

  • Manage the daily workload and tasks effectively, to meet and where possible exceed expectation on service and SLA.

  • To ensure the team received the right training to be able to meet and exceed role requirements, creating and utilizing training documentation to provide consistency.

  • Produce management information to review workload, productivity, accuracy, and overall increase performance and improve process.

  • Utilize process re-engineering to reduce case volumes and improve/increase direct access usage.

  • Establish work-checking mechanisms to check the quality of documentation and system updates.

  • Support the annual calendar of events and ad hoc projects, ensuring resources and processes are in place to meet expectation (e.g. annual salary review and acquisitions).

  • To support the planning and delivery of key business projects as directed.

  • Manage escalations and make decisions on requests which are outside of process or policy, works with the business to outline and manage risks.

  • Works closely and seamlessly with Payroll to deliver the best service to meet payroll deadlines.

  • Collaborate with colleagues in IT and Finance to refine working methods to maximize efficiencies, design and amend processes to support changes within HR process.

  • Work collaboratively with the HR centers of excellences, HRBP, HRIS, reward, change, payroll, learning and recruitment teams. Able to challenge constructively and minimize duplication of effort.

  • Make appropriate decisions and use own judgement on work prioritization.

  • Work within US compliance guidelines, managing people data requests and the confidentiality of data.

  • Contributes to wider projects and initiatives within HR, driving process improvements, automation, and efficiencies.

Key requirements

  • Team Leader experience, able to motivate and influence a team to be at their best.

  • Excellent HR Administration, organizational and computer skills with strong attention to detail.

  • HR Shared Services background (desirable).

  • Workday system experience required.

  • Proven understanding of end-to-end HR processes, policies and procedures.

  • Ability to identify and resolve potential problems or issues and take necessary actions to prevent them from developing.

  • Proactive and practical approach to problem solving with the ability to identify areas for improvements in process, services and ways of working.

  • Highly organized with ability to plan, delegate prioritize and multitask daily workload.

  • Able to train team members to improve performance and develop skills.

  • Works well in a demanding, fast-paced environment, managing conflicting demands, with excellent task and time management skills.

  • Ability to work within a team and on own initiative, providing support to team members where needed.

  • Strong relationship building and influencing skills, a role model to others.

  • Problem solver with resilience, initiative, and ability to challenge the status quo.

  • Smart pragmatic and positive approach, able to build trust and offer proactive solutions.
