Overview of the Executive Director, Network Partnerships role
The Executive Director of Network Partnerships will be a vital member of the Wayspring Network Value Management team, reporting directly to the Vice President of Market Operations.
As the Executive Director of Network Partnerships, you will help improve Wayspring client and business performance by providing insight and solutions to drive health plan client outcomes. Your job duties include developing and implementing provider engagement, contracting, and partnership strategies to help drive positive outcomes for health plan client groups.
Responsibilities of the Executive Director, Network Partnerships
- Partners with internal Wayspring Network Value Management team to shape contracting strategies that build incentives for improved outcomes
- Develops targeting criteria to guide provider strategies based on analytical insights, clinical inputs, performance, provider feedback and operations considerations
- Constructs alternative payment models that adhere to care standards. Partners with clinical leadership to understand industry best practices to shape these models
- Partners with analytical and actuarial teams to measure and monitor provider performance within alternative payment models
- Assists in developing methodologies to measure clinical, utilization and financial outcomes of program initiatives
- Serves as a liaison between Wayspring clients and internal Wayspring business units
- Partners with matrixed delivery team for solutions, adjusting target areas of focus for performance management while fostering client growth and contract retention
- Acts as a consultative partner for Wayspring health plan clients, guiding and driving outcomes alongside the health plan client groups based on Wayspring findings
- Serves as a key leader in week-to-week client interface on topics of provider network strategies. Contributes to drafting and delivering presentations and facilitating discussion on process implementation
- Acts as a key liaison with provider network counterparts on the health plan leadership team
- Informs strategies on provider engagement, operational partnerships for care transition, and APM contracting
- Provides strategy recommendations, process clarification, and change leadership for Wayspring clients
- Adjusts network strategies based on provider feedback and learnings on effectiveness
- Adheres to Wayspring information security and privacy requirements
Requirements & Preferred Qualifications
- A minimum of five (5) years’ experience in related client facing consultative roles, ideally within a health plan provider organization; or any combination of education and experience which would provide an equivalent background
- Ideal candidate would have previously held responsibility for aspects of: Network Management, Network Contracting, Network Performance, Provider Experience, Provider Engagement. Medicaid and/or Behavioral Health is highly preferred
- Strong understanding, and ideally direct experience, in value-based provider contracting
- Previous experience in data analytics
- Excellent written, presentation, and communication skills
- Ability to interpret and manage clinical and operational performance data
- Strong understanding of providers and payors and the ever-evolving SUD landscape, as well as an intellectual curiosity about SUD and the addiction treatment area of healthcare
- Self-starter with high emotional intelligence and the ability to create strong partnerships with clients
- Ability to travel up to 25%, including occasional in-person presence for client meetings as well as corporate office visits in Nashville, TN
- Advanced knowledge of Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
