Position Summary

To be a technology expert architecting solutions and mentoring people in BI / Reporting processes with prior expertise in the Pharma domain.

Job Responsibilities

• Be a lead engineer/manager in the Data Engineering and Data Migration activities, with turnkey responsibilities to assess/analyze and deliver data migration projects from on-premise to cloud infrastructure
• Gather, understand, and document requirements from clients, to ensure strong understanding of the problems space before designing solutions
• Collaborate with other teams within project and/or client organizations to coordinate design/development of data migration activities
• Ensure all aspects of data migration such as data profiling, exception handling, data quality assessment etc. are handled, working with source system data providers, external testing teams and client stakeholders

Education

Work Experience

• • 6-10 yrs industry experience on cloud data management with 3+ years strong data migration experience
  • Technology Design and Development – He/she should be able to assess and profile source system data, analyze the data structures and data quality issues and design and develop data migration routines
  • He/she should be able to create ETL design, implement deliver ETL/ELT code using tools such as Snowflake Stored procedures, or Matillion/ Informatica for simple to complex Data Integration/ Data Migration project assignments.
  • Should have working experience in at least 1 ETL tools or programming languages among Matillion, Informatica, Data Factory, Talend, Pyspark
  • Should have some experience in Data Warehousing and Data Modelling fundamentals like Star Schema, Snowflake Schema, Dimension Tables and Fact Tables
  • Requirements Gathering – Be able to understand the requirements directly from customers or from project teams
  • Troubleshooting – Be able to troubleshoot issues across customer implementations and come up with fixes in a time bound manner
