As a Lead Application Engineer, you will be responsible for post-sales support of customer issues & Pre-sales engineering support. As well as assuring profitability and proper utilization of inventory.

As a Lead Applications Engineer you will be responsible for:

• Tracking and reduce inventory. Cost of goods optimization

• Working on technical proposals and technology introduction

• Contributing to delivering overall Drill Bits financial plan for the assigned countries.

• Contributing to delivering all region Service Delivery KPI’s.

• Owning the resolution of post-sales technical customer issues and resolving post sales technical issues.

• Conducting all business activities in accordance with Baker Hughes HSE policies, Legal Compliance requirements.

• Communicating across direct organization and presenting to senior leaders in specific technical space and on cross functional teams on how technologies interconnect and contribute to overall strategy.

• Handling latitude in project techniques.

• Handling diverse clients in a region and following frameworks to get through the processes.

Fuel your passion

To be successful in this role you will:

• Bachelor’s degree in science, technology, engineering or mathematics.

• Have a minimum of 8 years of experience in Oilfield services, technical support position or drill bits industry (specifically).

• Excellent leadership, strong interpersonal, influencing and planning skills

• Ability to be on call outside of normal business hours

• Ability to work in a global matrix organization

• Excellent communication and presentation skills

• Strong organizational, analytical and problem solving skills

• Must have the ability to travel (potential for travel to rig sites, customer facilities, meetings, training, etc.)

Desired Characteristics:

• Significant operational experience

• Comfortable presenting in front of an audience of experienced peers

• Ability to manage, develop, coach, and mentor teams across organizational boundaries

• Ability to learn and use various computer tools to prepare data and visualizations for analysis

• Ability to work independently
