We collaborate with our development teams in science, mechanical and electrical engineering, physics, geoscience, to develop innovative drilling tools.

The Baker Hughes Drilling Services Central Service Delivery team are seeking a Technical Advisor (d/f/m). You will be both skilled & experienced in wellbore positioning to deliver subject matter expert-level. You will deliver technical guidance & support to our Product Line & Operations teams.

As a Wellbore Positioning Technical Advisor (d/f/m), you will be responsible for:

  • Supporting the product line in multiple regions as key interface to drive new technology introduction.

  • Taking ownership of the product development process and execution of product management deliverables. Monitors NPR/NPI performance.

  • Planning and execution of field tests provides key field product application support and optimizes product performance.

  • Leading analytical and design activities using proven technologies and vested approaches and methods.

  • Connecting the dots across technologies and develop cross-technology solutions; working on cross-functional projects/teams to deliver technology solutions for the business.

  • Conducting all business activities in accordance with health safety and environmental policies, legal compliance requirements, and core values

  • Driving initiatives to improve product performance. Interfaces with other functions to effectively coordinate metrics, dashboards, functional processes, and cross-functional coordination.

Fuel your passion

To be successful in this role you will:

  • Have successfully completed your studies in (i.e. Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) or significant relevant practical experience

  • Have significant experience performing wellbore positioning related functions

  • Have advanced-level well planning skills, utilising one or more industry-recognized well planning software packages

  • Have familiarity with wellbore positioning industry standards

  • Have experience as a mentor, coach and/or advisor on wellbore positioning activities

  • Have the ability to build a good network with a range of stakeholders

  • Be fluent in written and spoken English, with excellent communication and presentation skills
