This role will be responsible for tracking material and equipment purchases, valuing inventory items, and ensuring the efficient allocation of inventory to various projects. The ideal candidate will have experience with FIFO (First-In, First-Out) inventory management and possess strong attention to detail. You will play a critical role in supporting our internal reports and self-audit processes to ensure accurate financial reporting.
Principal Duties & Responsibilities:

- Collaborate with the project team to receive bills of material (BOM) and allocate inventory to specific projects as needed.
- Implement and manage the FIFO inventory system to ensure proper stock rotation and minimize waste.
- Calculate the value of inventory items using appropriate accounting methods, ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards.
- Perform monthly reconciliations to verify the accuracy of inventory levels and update internal reports accordingly.
- Assist in self-auditing inventory records to identify discrepancies and implement corrective actions when necessary.
- Maintain clear and organized records of inventory transactions and reports.
- Prepare and present reports on inventory status, usage, and valuation to support decision-making processes.
- Occasional travel to the warehouse(s) for inventory reconciliations as needed.
- All other duties and projects as assigned.
- 4+ years in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Previous experience in inventory control, particularly in a FIFO environment.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and standards.
- Proficiency in Excel and accounting software, construction accounting software preferred.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills.
This position does not have supervisory responsibility.
Expected Hours of Work:
An Employee must work a minimum of thirty (30) hours each week to maintain full-time status for benefits purposes, however the expectations of the position will require an average of forty (40) hours with overtime required as scheduled. The salary range and/or hourly rate listed is a good faith determination of potential base compensation that may be offered to a successful applicant for this position at the time of this job advertisement and may be modified in the future. When determining an employee’s base salary and/or rate, several factors may be considered as applicable (e.g., location, specialty, years of relevant experience, education, credentials, and internal equity). Brightcore also offers a comprehensive set of benefits to compliment the base salary. The base salary hiring range for this position is $75,000-$88,000.

Office/Remote Work Guidelines:
Recognizing the success of remote work, Brightcore operates in a hybrid model. Eligible employees will have the option to work remotely for two (2) days per week at their discretion, with final approval by their direct supervisor. This policy is subject to change at Brightcore's discretion.
