Role Summary
The Program and Software Release Leader in Terarecon's Clinical Imaging Informatics is responsible for overseeing the planning, coordination, and execution of software releases and program initiatives within the clinical imaging informatics domain. This role ensures that all software updates, new features, and improvements are delivered efficiently, meeting both clinical needs and regulatory standards. This leader will work closely with cross-functional teams, including software development, quality assurance, regulatory affairs, clinical stakeholders, and IT operations.
Responsibilities
- Program Management:
- Lead and manage clinical imaging informatics programs from inception to completion.
- Develop and maintain detailed project plans, including timelines, milestones, and resource allocation.
- Coordinate with stakeholders to ensure project objectives are met within the stipulated timeframes and budgets.
- Software Release Management:
- Oversee the end-to-end release management process, including planning, scheduling, and controlling software builds through different stages and environments.
- Ensure that releases are delivered on time, within scope, and with high quality.
- Manage risks and resolve issues that affect release scope, schedule, and quality.
- Collaboration and Communication:
- Facilitate communication between software developers, quality assurance, clinical users, and other stakeholders.
- Organize and lead regular release planning meetings and program status updates. Ensure clear documentation of release plans, program progress, and any issues encountered.
- Quality Assurance and Compliance:
- Ensure that all software releases comply with regulatory requirements and clinical standards.
- Work with QA teams to establish and maintain robust testing procedures, including automated testing where applicable.
- Oversee the implementation of validation and verification protocols.
- Continuous Improvement:
- Identify opportunities for process improvements in both program and release management.
- Implement best practices to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of release cycles.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement and learning within the team.
- Resource Management:
- Manage and allocate resources effectively to ensure project and release objectives are met.
- Monitor and report on resource utilization and project budgets.
Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Biomedical Engineering, or related field. Master’s degree preferred
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in software release management, project/program management, or a related field within the clinical imaging or healthcare informatics sector.
- Proven track record of managing complex software projects and releases.
- Experience with Agile and/or DevOps methodologies.
- Strong project management skills, with PMP or similar certification preferred.
- Excellent understanding of clinical imaging systems and healthcare IT standards (e.g., DICOM, HL7).
- Exceptional organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams.
- Proficiency in project management and collaboration tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence, MS Project).
- Clinical software development and global regulatory domain experience.
- Understand and practice all requirements of EN ISO 13485, ISO 13485, TeraRecon QMS Manual, Process Flows and Work Instructions.
- Comply with applicable regulatory requirements (including but not limited to MDSAP participating countries and CE Marking).
- Participate in Internal and External audits.
