Job Summary:

The Cloud FinOps Lead is responsible for managing and optimizing cloud financials, with a focus on Azure environments. This role involves developing strategies and systems to enhance cloud cost management, ensure financial transparency, and maximize cloud spending efficiency.

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Evaluate FinOps Needs: Analyze cloud budget overages and cost issues to derive insights and highlight cost drivers.
• Cloud Cost Governance: Establish frameworks for cost observability, communicate FinOps plans, and support compliance.
• FinOps Objectives: Implement strategies for cost optimization, set objectives (OKRs), and work with architects on FinOps development.
• Cost Tracking: Build and implement tagging strategies for cost allocation and optimization.
• Forecasting and Automation: Use AI and automation tools to forecast, analyze, and optimize cloud spending.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Experience: Proven expertise in FinOps and Azure cloud services.
• Technical Proficiency: Skilled in Azure Cost Management, Billing, Advisor, Monitor, and other FinOps tools like CloudHealth and Cloudability.
• Automation: Experience with Azure Automation, Logic Apps, and AI tools for financial operations.
• Certifications: FinOps or Azure-related certifications are highly desirable.

Role-specific Requirements:

• Specific focus on Azure cloud services.
• Ability to develop and implement cost management strategies.
• Experience in cloud financial operations and governance.
