Johnson Controls is looking for a Skilled Equipment Operator or our 1st Shift team. This role will operate hand or powered vehicles in plant area and ssist loading and unloading of trucks when necessary. Apply now for consideration!

In this role you will:

• Pack a variety of parts or products in boxes, crates or other containers with packing material. Pack to ensure protection in transit. May have to prepare and attach packing slips, number packages, check products and detect and report defective mater

• Fabricate and/or pack wooden crates, skids, boxes, woodworking hand tools, powered tools and equipment.

• Read drawing and other specifications, and inspect product to determine size and shape of container, material to be used and types of supports and braces to be used.

• Pass and maintain certification required by lease agreement and/or State/Federal codes.

• Independently operate complex vehicles (i.e., mobile cranes and tractor trailers) and large capacity fork trucks or any equipment needed to move, load or unload materials, parts or products. ​

Qualifications:

• ​​Experience operating mid to heavy capacity forklifts

• Experience operating standard box truck preferred

• High School Diploma or Equivalency
