Summary of Role:

GlobalFoundries in Essex, VT is looking to hire an Equipment Maintenance Technician to sustain and run the fab floor with primary responsibility of resolving equipment and process issues in the Metrology / CFM area. Technician positions are hourly shift positions (D1) working a compressed week of 12-hour shifts. GlobalFoundries is a 24/7 manufacturing facility providing technician support across all shifts. Essential Responsibilities include:

• Perform basic preventive maintenance activities, as well as unplanned maintenance activities

• React to error messages of factory systems and/or equipment

• Recover from process and tool interruptions

• Identify and address potential areas for improvement and optimize tool availability, cycle time, utilization and cost

• Complete all required reporting and documentation

• Understand and follow all health, safety, and environmental procedures and requirements

• Actively participate in continuous improvement processes, learning and skills development

Other Responsibilities:

• Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements and programs.

• Other duties as assigned by manager / supervisor.

Required Qualifications:

• Education – High School Diploma or equivalent, external candidates must pass technical aptitude assessment

• Experience – Minimum 1-2 years' of relevant technical / mechanical experience

• Fluency in English Language - both Written & Verbal

• Physical Capacity Demands - 12-hour Alternate Work Schedule (Nights or Days), ability to wear cleanroom suit and Personal Protective Equipment

• Ability to partner and work collaboratively with a global team, and complete other duties as assigned in a timely fashion

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in Semiconductor Equipment Maintenance.
