Official Job Title: National Coverage Specialist (CPhT)

Healix Infusion Therapy is seeking a Certified Pharmacy Technician to travel and perform sterile compounding in our pharmacy facilities throughout the US. This is an excellent opportunity for technicians who have the availability to travel primarily throughout Texas and Georgia with the ability to obtain licensing for and travel to Arizona, Florida, Georgia, and South Carolina. Candidates must be adaptable to changing schedules and work location needs due to unforeseen staffing outages. Flexibility for travel is required for this position. *Healix is committed to the advancement of our pharmacy professionals and will allow for additional state licenses to be obtained upon hire.

Schedule(s): Monday through Friday; hours may vary based on travel and business hours of each location

*Technicians scheduled to work at the Central Pharmacy in Sugar Land, TX may be required to work rotating shifts

*Travel may be required on Sundays and after business hours for flight times

*Hourly employees are compensated for flight time in accordance with policy

CORE DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES (include but not limited to):

  • Travels to various Office Infusion Centers (OIC) for staffing
  • Prepares sterile intravenous admixture compounds under the direction of a registered pharmacist.
  • Records initials on all mixing reports and prescription labels.
  • Complies with all state and federal laws, rules, and regulations governing the practice of pharmacy.
  • Complies with all Healix policies and procedures affecting scope of responsibilities.
  • Performs technical and non-technical duties as assigned by pharmacists.
  • Participates in departmental quality control and quality assurance programs.
  • Assists with general workflow in the pharmacy including staging, filling of flush syringes, labeling, shipping, and sanitation of bins, as applicable.
  • Maintains accurate records of all assignments.
  • Observes and reports any unusual situations, occurrences, conditions, or complaints related to pharmacy operations to the Pharmacy Manager.
  • Ensures all work checked by a pharmacist.
  • Keeps work area in a clean and orderly manner.
  • Prioritizes workload and uses time efficiently.
  • Delivers exceptional customer service to clients and staff when working on site.
  • Always engages with other employees, clients, and client staff in a positive and professional manner.

Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.   • Registered with State Board of Pharmacy as a Certified Pharmacy Technician
  • PTCB certification, ACPE IV certification
  • Licensed in Texas; ability to obtain additional state licenses as requested and required for this role
  • At least 2 years of experience with IV admixtures required
  • Excellent customer service skills and ability to work independently or within a team setting
  • Strong computer skills required.
  • Must be able to manage time appropriately to ensure travel requirements are met weekly.
