Hi, Future Homie!

As a Homie, you'll be part of an unstoppable team that puts customers first, embraces each day with excitement, and strives for excellence in everything you do. We’re revolutionizing the way small businesses manage their teams and grow their business. What this means for you is a shared passion for innovation and making a difference for the people we serve. So what do you say, will you join us on our mission to empower small businesses?

As the Sales Manager at Homebase, your primary responsibility is to facilitate the expansion of our inside sales function, ensuring that Homebase Sales not only meets but surpasses revenue targets. Your role encompasses overseeing a scalable operation that delivers an unparalleled sales experience and optimizes revenue-per-person efficiency. Integral to your position is the direct involvement in setting the stage for your team's success, encompassing hands-on coaching, mentoring, proactive problem-solving, and fostering cross-functional relationships, especially when engaging with high Lifetime Value (LTV) clients.

Throughout this endeavor, you will not only be tasked with building a scalable function but also with the recruitment and development of talent, both existing team members and future hires. This team is under your ownership, the performance metrics are in your hands to exceed, and your personal brand is intricately tied to the success of Homebase Sales. Your commitment to achieving and surpassing targets will play a pivotal role in shaping the trajectory of our sales function and contributing to Homebase's overall success.

As a Homie, you will make an impact by

  • Facilitating the attainment of revenue and sales efficiency metrics to drive Homebase's rapid and streamlined scalability.
  • Supervising and mentoring a team of 6-10 sales professionals to not only meet but surpass performance targets.
  • Fostering the development of a top-tier sales team by investing in the growth of existing team members and spearheading the recruitment of high-caliber talent.
  • Collaborating closely with product and engineering teams to conceptualize and implement systems aimed at enhancing efficiency and accuracy within the Sales Team.
  • Applying your wealth of experience to exemplify effective execution, engaging directly with customers, conducting product demos, and formulating impactful contact strategies.
  • Demonstrating proficiency in data analysis to inform strategic decision-making, thereby ensuring a data-driven approach to achieving objectives.
  • Establishing a robust culture of feedback within the team, amplifying the "voice of the customer" to influence choices made by product and marketing teams.
  • Proactively enhance the sales skills of your direct reports, utilizing your presence to accelerate their professional development and career aspirations.
  • Cultivating a team culture deeply aligned with the mission of aiding small businesses and their teams, fostering a sense of purpose and connectivity among team members.

You

  • You love selling, especially great products that are helping people and making lives better
  • You love inside sales and building processes to ensure maximum productivity while providing a world-class customer experience
  • You are a hands-on leader who is highly data-driven, but you dive in deep to ensure the story the data is telling matches the reality on the ground
  • You are a thoughtful leader who inspires and mentors your team, your colleagues, and others in the organization
  • You love understanding how things work - and how they break - in a never-ending journey to seek out just a little more value for your customer and your team
  • You need to be challenged to do your best work. It’s not worth working on if it’s not arduous and hard
  • You set big goals for yourself and your team, and you accelerate the path to accomplishing them
  • You’re an entrepreneurial thinker and leader who wants to have an impact on local businesses and the lives of hourly workers

You are a bar raiser, which means you come with

  • 6+ years managing high-volume inside sales, preferably within a high-growth SaaS company
  • Deep sales skill set including managing to quota, pipeline management, objection handling, coaching team members, and data analysis
  • Demonstrated ability to develop solutions to complex problems - making sound choices on how to roll out new systems and processes in an iterative manner
  • Excellent analytical skills , including the ability to gather and examine data sets , including the use of basic statistical concepts, and to interpret them to make business choices (seriously, this is important - you have to understand and own your numbers)
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize among battling opportunities and to articulate your point of view on priorities
  • Proven ability to lead teams and work cross-functionally in a highly collaborative environment
  • Resourceful, self-motivated , and able to be successful in an entrepreneurial team-based environment
  • Excellent verbal & written communication skills
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience
