Job Purpose
The Patient Concierge I is the first point of contact for patients and family members in the center. The Patient Concierge I is responsible for performing check in and check out duties in the reception area.

Excellent judgment, dependability, conscientious performance. Detail oriented. Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills. Caring and empathetic. High ethical standards. Mechanical ability and manual dexterity for operating complicated equipments.

Job Purpose
The Patient Concierge I is the first point of contact for patients and family members in the center. The Patient Concierge I is responsible for performing check in and check out duties in the reception area.
Essential Functions
- Provides excellent customer service and communicates effectively.
- Greets patients and family members; Provide forms and necessary paperwork for completion.
- Enters, verifies and updates patient demographic and insurance information; Scans necessary patient documents.
- Collects appropriate copays and previous balances; Collaborates with billing department on financial arrangements.
- Maintains neat and well organized reception area and waiting room.
- Performs end of day activities including reporting monies collected and cross checking superbills with schedule.
- Obtains insurance verifications, preauthorization for radiology patients
- Schedules and confirms patient diagnostic testing as directed on encounter form/super bill.
- Submits charge slips to billing.
- Provides patient with instruction for testing and appointments.
- Complies with HIPAA regulations and practice policies for the privacy and security of patient information; explain the law and company privacy policy to patients as needed, maintain appropriate documentation of access to medical records.
- Regular attendance and punctuality.
- Maintains annual competencies and/or training.
- Performs other related work/duties as required and assigned.
- 1-3 years of telephone/receptionist experience.
- High School graduate or equivalent required.
- Basic PC skills including Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule as necessary.
- Urology practice experience.
- Oncology and/or Radiology experience.
