The Role
As a Partner Success Manager (PSM), you will play a crucial role in building and maintaining strategic programs that will grow and scale our Professional Services Partner and Reseller ecosystem.You will be responsible for taking programs from ideation through to launch, enabling partners both internally and externally, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and operationalizing processes for long term sustainability. This role requires a proactive individual with excellent communication and organizational skills who can drive programs focused at partner success to ensure mutual growth. The PSM will work closely with internal teams to align partner activities with company goals and provide exceptional support to our partners. The PSM will also directly manage the relationship with a number of professional services partners and reseller partners.
A large part of the Partner Success Manager’s role is to enable partners to implement the Outreach Platform at new or existing customers effectively with high quality. This role develops relationships with partners to ensure the effective resale of Outreach and professional services augmentation, providing partners with playbooks, resources, or other assets to ensure a seamless implementation and go-live.
Location: Remote within the US, preferably Seattle
Your daily adventures:
- Develop programs to identify and recruit new partners to expand the partner network, ensuring they meet the company’s standards and strategic goals.
- Onboard and manage a portfolio of partners who align with our target market and sales strategy.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing partners, understanding their business needs and aligning them with our solutions, serving as the primary point of contact for a portfolio of partners.
- Collaborate with partners to develop joint sales strategies, marketing plans, and initiatives that drive revenue and market share growth.
- Develop and provide training and ongoing support to partners, ensuring they are well-equipped to promote and sell our products/services.
- Work closely with internal sales, marketing, product, operations, and other teams to ensure seamless collaboration between partners and the company's internal operations.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to address partner needs, resolve any issues or conflicts that may arise with partners, deliver exceptional customer experiences, and maintain a positive and productive relationship.
- Monitor partner performance, set goals, and develop strategies to improve partner sales and engagement.
- Act as a subject matter expert on our products, services, implementation, and industry trends to effectively communicate value propositions to partners while supporting, enabling, and engaging with them.
- Prepare and present regular reports on partner performance, sales metrics, and market feedback to senior management.
- Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and market changes to provide insights and recommendations for partner strategies.
- Establish regular cadence with and manage assigned Professional Service partners for escalations, assignments, invoicing, approving time, tracking portfolio health & project status, enablement, etc.
- Coordinate all Reseller partner customer migrations and associated Professional Services implementations.
- Manage the relationship between Outreach and partners, including contract terms and conditions, anticipated project pipeline/funnel, and partner deliverables.
- Manage and run strategic, complex, multi-product/full platform programs by guiding partners on the best practices on how to implement Outreach and by assessing partner quality through attainment of success metrics.
- Create and maintain assets for the partner delivery framework (eg. playbooks, best practices, success metrics, etc.)
- Conduct partner review meetings periodically with partners to drive successful outcomes and effective working relationships
- Collaborate with Outreach Product Management, Marketing and our partners to develop delivery packages, incorporating new product messaging when required
- Provide technical expertise and support for Partners when required
Qualifications:
- Deep product knowledge and understanding of the Outreach platform; Outreach certification a plus
- At least 8 years of experience managing large scale implementations in a SaaS organization
- At least 2 years of experience implementing Outreach with customers, preferably in Field
- Proven experience in partner program management and partner account management
- Strong understanding of the industry and market dynamics
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Proficiency in CRM software
- Strong and demonstrated project management skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple partner relationships and projects simultaneously
- Willingness to travel as needed
- Must have Outreach implementation knowledge to help partners with questions & escalations
- Additional experience in partner program management including designing, building, implementing, managing, and maintaining the end-to-end programs to support the recruitment and enablement of various partner types
- Familiarity with SFDC, Google Workspace, Outreach
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Computer Science, or a related field
- At least 8 - 12 years of partner program management or related experience
Preferred Qualifications:
The base salary range for this role is $95,000-$155,000. You may also be offered incentive compensation, bonus, restricted stock units, and benefits. Actual compensation is based on factors such as the candidate's skills, qualifications, and experience. We also have a location-based compensation structure; there may be a different range for candidates in other locations.
