Peraton is seeking a senior-level Information Technology (IT) Operations Specialist. This position is based out of Melbourne, FL and will require the applicant to be within a commutable distance to provide on-site support.

This position will be responsible for:

• Maintains operation of multi-user computer systems, including coordination with development team.
• Monitors and manages system resources, including CPU usage, disk usage, and response times to maintain operating efficiency.
• Performs systems security administration functions, including creating user profiles and accounts.
• Other duties may include setting up administrator accounts, maintaining system documentation, tuning system performance, installing system wide software and allocating mass storage space.
• Interacts with users and evaluates vendor products.
• Makes recommendations to purchase hardware and software, coordinates installation and provides backup recovery.
• Develops and monitors policies and standards for allocation related to the use of computing resources.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

• Active TS/SCI Clearance.
• Minimum of 12 years’ experience with BS/BA; Minimum of 10 years’ experience with MS/MA; Minimum of 7 years’ experience with Ph.D.; In lieu of degree, 16 years of related experience is allowable.
• Experience with Windows system administration functions.
• Experience with Linux system administration functions.
• A current/valid Security+ certification (or equivalent DOD 8570 IAT II Level Certification) or the ability to obtain the certification within 30 days of hire.

DESIRED EXPERIENCE

• Experience with STIGs, ACAS, SCAP, and Anti-Virus technologies
• Experience with Ansible
