The role:

We currently have an opportunity for a Commercial Adjuster Manager in our Commercial Property Redhill Region.

Job Description

Our Commercial Property business supports our alignment with current client requirements, focus on operational management and service excellence and enabling us to make the most of our colleagues’ expertise whilst encouraging their future career goals and how to achieve them.

A vacancy has arisen for this role in our Redhill region– if your passion is in leadership of a successful team then this could be the role for you. As Commercial Adjuster Manager, reporting to the Commercial Property Manager for the region, you will be responsible for assisting with leading a team of adjusters and claims technicians in your region, managing operational and financial performance to budget, whilst maintaining and enhancing both technical and service delivery.

The operational management role and developing colleagues will form the majority of the role but there will still be an opportunity/requirement to maintain a small caseload.

Emphasis is placed on identifying and supporting opportunities for colleague career development through the Pathfinder programmes available and you will help drive continuous improvements across the team. The role will also require interaction with clients and Sedgwick colleagues at a senior level.

Responsibilities:

  • Operational and technical management of a number of commercial adjusters in the region for claims typically <£100k

  • Deliver a strong financial performance aligned with the agreed budget

  • Develop strategies for profitable delivery of services, ensuring control of costs and growth of net margin in line with the CCS strategy

  • Create a culture for consistent achievement of SLA compliance and adherence to client specific process(es) including complaint management, root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions

  • Promote, support and implement process innovation and digital solutions as client and customer needs evolve

  • Ensure clear and effective communication to ensure each member of the team is appropriately employed and is aware of their role, responsibilities and value to Sedgwick UK

  • Drive a culture of continuous improvement that strives for market leading excellence in every aspect of client and customer service

  • A clear focus and strategy for career development of colleagues within the region

  • Maintain the highest standards of performance by inspiring, training and motivating colleagues

You will have/will be:

  • Highly organised with a flexible, pro-active approach and the ability to report to others in a clear and concise manner

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

  • First class interpersonal and presentation skills

  • Able to demonstrate the ability to prioritise work states during busier periods

  • Excellent knowledge of commercial property claims products

  • Commercial awareness and an in-depth knowledge of client requirements and strategies

  • Previous experience is not required but will be an advantage

  • Proven track record in delivering a strong financial performance for your team is also an advantage

  • Ability to identify and propose innovative ideas as part of a continuous improvement culture
